Our conservative investment strategy and entrepreneurial approach have provided outstanding investment returns for over thirty years. Our proven track record has helped us to build and maintain lasting relationships with banks, private and institutional investors, and within the communities in which we work.

Our investment experience covers many property types including industrial, flex/R&D, office, medical office, retail and multi-family residential. The intimate knowledge gained from operating these various property types provides us with a wide range of investment opportunities, each with multiple options for redevelopment.  This flexibility allows us to better adapt to the requirements of different communities and to changes in market and economic conditions.

Our preference is to invest in add-value projects in the greater Boston area, typically with plans to make improvements and hold them for the long term. Our target investment is $5,000,000 - $30,000,000.  Every acquisition is coordinated by an affiliate based on the value we envision and entirely investment driven.

Riverside has deep expertise in redeveloping challenged properties and takes great care to craft plans for the redevelopment of existing properties based on the needs of the property’s owner(s), tenant(s), and the communities in which they are located. 

Riverside’s development expertise includes the management of:

  • Negotiation of complex leases with new and legacy tenants

  • Pursuit of zoning relief; Special Permits and/or Variances

  • Changes in building use, changes in use of a building site, façade alterations

  • Renovations of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairs, bathrooms and building systems, along with buildouts for tenant spaces.
