Riverside Properties was founded by Mark Levy and Edward Bell in Wellesley, Massachusetts in the wake of the Savings and Loan crisis. Riverside was initially established to manage real estate-owned (REO) assets on behalf of local and regional banks and other institutions in need of 3rd party property and project management. Over the past 30 years, Riverside adapted to the changing landscape of the real estate industry and evolved into the full-service real estate investment, development, and management firm that it is today.

While Mark and Ed are no longer actively managing the company, Ed continues to be involved as an advisor and investor. Mark’s son Brett stepped up to lead the company as President upon Mark’s departure in 2014 and continues to honor the legacy of its founders while leading the company in all its endeavors. Brett and his family continues to participate as anchor investors for the company’s projects.
